Despite some questionable moves by Netflix, such as canceling Daredevil, the streaming giant does make an abundance of good decisions. Take, for example, their choice to reboot Sabrina The Teenage Witch. The bubbly family sitcom was transformed into a dark series, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was born. The first season exceeded expectations, and Netflix has a second season on the way soon. The series deals with the young Sabrina as she battles the devil, witches, and demons all while discovering her own powers and balancing school and relationships. The church of Satan even decided to sue the show for how they portray their religion and idols. Nothing is stopping Netflix from dropping the second season though, but Sabrina is going to get a Christmas special prior to that.
A new trailer for the Christmas special reveals that the event takes place after the first season (Sabrina's hair is platinum instead of blonde). Entitled Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale, the holiday event will deal with how a coven celebrates the holiday season. A battle of good and evil will rage on, but romance will also play a part. The second season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will touch down in April of 2019, and A Midwinter’s Tale debuts on December 14.
