Trump spoke with reporters about the controversial "zero tolerance" policy.

Donald Trump briefly told the press that he and his delegates are working to improve border security without having to strip children away from their parents.

The POTUS revealed that he and his administration would be taking "pre-emptive" action as both the White House and lawmakers deal with the widespread condemnation of the "zero tolerance" policy that has resulted in thousands of children being placed into "tender age" facilities.

"I'll be signing something in a little while that's going to do that," Trump admitted. "I'll be doing something that's somewhat preemptive and ultimately will be matched by legislation I'm sure."

Additionally, the President has effectively cancelled the congressional picnic that was scheduled for Thursday to focus on more salient issues plaguing the American public.

The White House, Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security will come together to create an executive order that will promptly and humanely mend the illegal immigrant phenomenon with the United States.

First Lady Melania Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen are reported to have had an influence in reversing the particularly harsh ramifications of the policy.
