Over the past week, we've seen tributes on Twitter and Instagram for many of his peers and friends. His ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande, shared a photo of the rapper a few days after his passing but didn't share much. One could only imagine the type of pain she's dealing with now. Today, she went back to Instagram to remember the late rapper.
Ariana Grande penned an emotional tribute to Mac Miller on Instagram today. She shared a clip of the two of them having dinner while the rapper shared an anecdote and she's heard giggling in the background.
"i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will. i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you’re okay now. rest." She wrote on Instagram.
Ariana Grande faced a lot of backlash following Mac's death. Many fans blamed her for the rapper's substance abuse issues. However, multiple people, including Ariana Grande's brother and Mac's close friend, came to her defense and praised her for always being there for him.
