A tennis shoe makeover might be coming to a classic Nike silhouette.

Nike Air Foamposites have always been known for being more of mid cut sneaker. After all, it is a basketball shoe. Although according to these new images courtesy of Weibo, it looks as though the Nike Air Foamposite One might be getting a low top version, that would pretty well turn this classic basketball staple into a tennis sneaker.

The version found in these images are of the "royal" colorway which is an essential Foamposite model. They feature the shoe's signature molded shell with an all royal blue upper and midsole. This sneaker has an icy translucent outsole and a black nubuck eyestay with black laces.

An interesting addition to this shoe is the fact that the midsole is actually taken from the Air Zoom Vapor X and not the original Foamposite midsole.

So far it seems as though these images are only samples and there is no word if they will even release at all. If they do though, it will be interesting to see how the OG Foamposite heads react to these.

Are you feeling this potential model?
