Netflix is making major moves in the thriller department. Following up on its popular Haunting Of Hill House series, the platform has now released a trailer for its upcoming film Cam that shows the dark side of the Internet set in the world of webcam porn.
"[The film] follows Alice, an ambitious camgirl, who wakes up one day to discover she’s been replaced on her show with an exact replica of herself," the synopsis reads. "As this copy begins to push the boundaries of Alice’s internet identity, the control that Alice has over her life, and the men in it, vanishes. While she struggles to regain what she’s lost, she slowly finds herself drawn back to her show and to the mysterious person who has taken her place."
The film debuted earlier this year at Austin’s Fantastic Fest and Montreal’s Fantasia Film Festival and has now been acquired by the streaming platform. Blumhouse Productions is the company behind the movie, who also brought us BlacKkKlansman, Halloween and Truth Or Dare.
Check the trailer below and catch the movie on Netflix November 16th.
