In the wake of Offset's arrest on Friday night his lawyer, Drew Findling, has been putting in work on the legal PR sides of things. Offset was first arrested for weapons and marijuana possession and was sent to jail, but was released the next day after posting $17 thousand bail. Throughout the whole ordeal, Findling has been active in trying to discredit all the charges brought against the Migo. He initially put out a simple statement proclaiming Offset's innocence: "he did not commit any traffic offense and he certainly was not in possession of any weapons. This was an improper arrest and I believe in his innocence." Later that day, though, he took a harsher tone and accused the police of racial profiling, saying not only that it was Offset's bodyguard carrying the gun, but that arrests like these are "a common theme, we're talking about a young, African-American man driving a shiny, beautiful luxury car and clad in designer clothes and watches and jewelry."
Offset took to Instagram to show his appreciation for the litigator, posting a photo of Findling with a signature Migos all-caps caption: "I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THIS MAN LAWYER/FRIEND HE HAS TAUGHT ME ALOT ABOUT GETTING MORE INVOLVED IN COMMUNITY HE HELPS ME FINANCIALLY OUTSIDE THE COURT ROOM HE IS THE BEST LAWYER I KNOW I LOVE HIM TO DEATH."
