Playboi Carti's set at the Dutch Woohah festival looks characteristically lit. The footage, taken by the vlog channel 175 TV, shows a constant moshpit for hits like Magnolia, off his self-titled Playboi Carti. Carti's lends itself to a punkier show vibe than hip-hop has up until now, as he himself knows. Carti also performed "Shoota," featuring Lil Uzi Vert, from his recent album Die Lit. The song's beat feels as though it's building forever and one can only imagine the anticipation of that wait surrounded by thousands of other likeminded fans.
Carti shared the stage at the Woohah festival with a stacked lineup of other rappers too. Migos, for one, appeared just a week before Offset's arrest, along with J Cole, J Hus, A$AP Rocky and many, many more.
The excitement building around Carti seems unlikely to subside, as he features on almost every new project that gets released. He's also getting some of the biggest cosigns in the game, being cast as the centre-piece of Virgil Abloh's recent groundbreaking show for Louis Vuitton, where he walked down the runway in a space-age reflective cape. He has also made it onto our very own list of the top 25 hip-hop/R&B albums of the year so far and seems very unlikely to be bumped off by the end of the year. Watch the video of Carti's show below:
