On the day of his album release, Trippie Redd has taken a moment to showcase some humility. With A Love Letter To You 3 in the pipeline, Trippie made sure to pay homage to a fellow artist, the late XXXTentacion. Taking in X's posthumous effort "Bad!" like the rest of us, Trippie hit up IG with a powerful message. Sharing an image of the "Bad!" artwork, Trippie penned a sentimental eulogy of sorts. "Love you goat," he writes. "Best artist of all time members only forever thanks."
Trippie also made sure to salute X's mother Cleopatra for her efforts; though she remains in mourning, Cleopatra has done wonders in keeping her son's musical legacy alive. "Thanks [Cleopatra] for making it possible for us to still listen to this amazing human," he writes, tagging her for good measure. It's a respectable move for Trippie, who may have been otherwise preoccupied with his own rollout. Yet X's loss clearly had a profound on him, having previously collaborated on X's debut 17.
For those invested in "emo rap," last night was certainly a feast for the ages: new Lil Peep, new X, and new Trippie Redd.
