Another platinum plaque for the TDE camp.

It's likely we won't get another album from Kendrick Lamar for a minute but he blessed us earlier in the year by curating the "Black Panther" soundtrack. The movie's accompanying album has spawned some massive singles including "King's Dead" with Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Future and James Black, Kendrick & SZA's "All The Stars" collab and "Pray For Me" with K. Dot and The Weeknd. Clearly, Kendrick's touch on a project can help elevate a project, both critically and commercially. After a few months, the rapper and the rest of the Top Dawg Entertainment camp have another platinum plaque to hang on the wall.

Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment's Black Panther: The Album has officially gone platinum. TDE's in house producer, Sounwave, took to Instagram to share a picture of the platinum plaque. It's a massive accomplishment for everyone in the crew because it was the first time they've done something strictly for a film. In addition, the project sparked three multi-platinum singles including "King's Dead, "All The Stars" and "Pray For Me."

It seems like Kendrick Lamar is probably used to albums and singles going platinum on a regular basis. Earlier today, it was announced that his Travis Scott collaboration on "Goosebumps" has also gone platinum. Hopefully, we end up getting some new music from Kendrick Lamar at some point this summer.
