While perhaps not quite as dramatic as the Video Music Awards, MTV's other video based award show, the MTV Movie & TV Awards, still deserves its due shine. To try and entice watchers to the award show, MTV has announced the musical performances that will be featured in the upcoming ceremony, as well as some of the guest presenters.
According to MTV, Mustard and Nick Jonas will be present to perform their new single, "Anywhere," who debuted the music video on MTV on Tuesday. This will mark the first time that the song has been performed live. Chloe x Halle will also be present at the show, and will be performing a medley of two of their songs: "Warrior" and "The Kids Are Alright," off their debut album of the same name.
The Movie & TV Awards will also feature numerous acclaimed presenters, including Seth Rogen, Common, Zendaya, as well as Black Panther's Michael B. Jordan. MTV will announce more names as the days lead up to the big event.
Lastly, it was announced that Chris Pratt will be the recipient of this year's "Generation Award," which is their version of a lifetime achievement award. Past recipients include Hollywood powerhouses like Will Smith, Tom Cruise, and the entire Fast & The Furious franchise, for some reason.
The award show is set to be hosted by Tiffany Haddish, and will certainly be a night to remember. The MTV Movie & TV Awards will premiere on June 18th at 9pm EST.
