With all eyes on the White House today as Kanye West has a meeting with President Donald Trump, focus have been shifted to the First Lady of the United States. Melania Trump is currently promoting a public awareness campaign called Be Best and she's been doing some press about it. The initiative is being run to raise awareness about opioid abuse in the country and cyberbullying. The First Lady sat down with ABC recently and one of her statements has started making the rounds as she impulsively told the interviewer that she's the "most bullied person in the world."
Melania Trump, the First Lady of the United States, is saying that she's the "most bullied person in the world." Usually, her husband is the one making extravagant declarations but Melania is learning fast it seems. When asked what makes her so passionate about the topic of social media and cyberbullying, she replied, "I could say I'm the most bullied person in the world" with a smile on her face. The interviewer was stunned, asking her if she really thought that. She clarified, "One of them. If you really see what people say about me."
Many are pointing out how her predecessor, Michelle Obama, was subject to plenty of racist remarks during her time in office and we didn't hear a peep from her. She certainly gets mistreated online but at the same time, she's made plenty of questionable decisions. As Complex points out, maybe wearing that "I really don't care" jacket wasn't the best idea.
*sigh*
