The-Dream and Kelly Rowland have been working closely together recently, contributing to each other's albums (IV Play and Talk A Good Game respectively), they even planned a joint tour together. However, Kelly Rowland's new gig on the U.S. show "X Factor" is complicating the "Lights Out" tour, and the two have had to reschedule many dates.
The tour was originally going to kick off tonight in Minneapolis and run through til the end of June, but now Kelly Rowland will only be available for a few dates of their "Lights Out" tour, which will be rescheduled for the most part. The remaining dates include the stop in D.C. on May 26, Baltimore on May 28, New York City on May 30, Philadelphia on May 31, and Mashantucket on June 2.
The-Dream supported his friend on her new endeavor when announcing the tour changes. "First, I want to wish my friend Kelly congratulations on her new gig at ‘X Factor,’" he said. "Unfortunately, we have to change some tour dates which has been extremely hard for me and for Kelly. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at a later date. But in support of IV Play, I will find the time to come to some of the cities left out to the best of my ability, if only to be in front of the fans that support us. So request this with your local radio stations and I’ll be there. I’m amped and ready!"
Kelly Rowland's album Talk A Good Game is out on June 18th, and she starts judging auditions for "X Factor" this week.
