While there is still so much secrecy surrounding Drake's upcoming album Scorpion, we do know that it will be dropping sometime during June. Whether it is arriving closer to the first day of the month or on the last is beyond us at this point but, for the sake of the fans, we're crossing our fingers for it to drop sooner rather than later. A release date will likely be announced as the month nears but for now, we continue listening to "God's Plan" and "Nice For What" in anticipation for the project. Managing to get his hands on a snippet of a new Drake song was DJ Akademiks, previewing the track on his Instagram and warning his audience that he will soon take it down.
In the preview, Drake uses a slower-paced approach, with a sad-sounding piano playing in the background. We only get to hear one full bar of what Drizzy has to say as he croons, "Maybe you were reckless yesterday." Not much to work off of, Drake sounds like he's going deep into his emotions for this one. However, due to the short length of the teaser, the beat could drop into an energetic dancehall vibe for all we know.
With Akademiks fearfully keeping the snippet up until Drake's label hounds him, you better be quick on this one as it will undoubtedly be taken down in short order. Do you think this track could end up on Scorpion?
