Tory Lanez is one of the most talented artists out right now, consistently dropping some of the highest-quality work. This year, Memories Don't Die and Love Me Now were some of the strongest efforts out of anybody. It's crazy to think they both released in 2018 but hey, Tory's got it like that... He has a standout appearance on 6ix9ine's new album DUMMY BOY, dropping an insanely catchy hook in "KIKA," and he commented on Tekashi's current status during an interview this week.
His remarks turned some heads as anything involving Tupac is bound to get people listening. Just look at where Lil Xan ended up. Tory spoke on 6ix9ine's incarceration, saying, "It's like, the only n***a who had shit like that popping was 2Pac. When 2Pac was in jail he dropped the biggest album. Not to say it was the biggest album of all fucking time, but it was a pretty big moment. It's sad he's gotta be locked up during it, is all I'm saying."
He noticed that the comment was being taken out of context and decided to take matters into his own hands, calming everybody down with a single tweet. "I did not compare 6ix9ine to 2pac," wrote the Canadian crooner. "I just said they both dropped big albums from jail at the level of fame that they had. Get off my dick."
