Early this morning, another mass shooting occurred when twelve people were murdered at a bar in Thousand Oaks, California. The news is devastating and anybody with connections in the area was terrified for their friends and family. Tamera Mowry was among the people frantically looking for any news about the victims. The host of The Real and star of Sister, Sister with her twin Tia was posting on social media as she searched for any updates. She knew that her niece was at the bar but hadn't heard from her in hours. Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that Tamera's niece, Alaina Housley, was among the twelve people that lost their lives.
According to USA Today, Mowry and her husband have released a statement about the shocking news. "Our hearts are broken," they said. "We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks. Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time."
Housley's Apple Watch and iPhone showed her location at the bar until today but her family was hopeful she had left them there before fleeing. Her friends are currently being treated at the hospital for glass wounds after escaping through a window. Unfortunately, Alaina lost her life during the shooting. RIP Alaina Housley.
