"First time kneeling, out for game. Second time kneeling, out for season/no pay!"

Donald Trump took to Twitter yesterday evening to voice his astonishment, once again over the NFL Anthem debate. Trump has been the loudest and harshest in the debate, siding with ownership on issues relating to "political silencing."

His outspoken criticism of NFL players kneeling before the singing of the anthem at games has effectively allowed team owners to keep mum from the press box.

The difference being, Donald Trump is now growing irate with the commissioner's "passive stance." In the above Tweet, Trump urges Roger Goodall to earn his $40,000,000 paycheck. The President elect claims to have the groundwork for him, by outlining a two step plan: "First time kneeling, out for game. Second time kneeling, out for season/no pay!"

No evidence suggests that players are contractually obliged to "stand at attention, hand on heart" as Trump insists. NFL owners, some of which are likely his friend or business ally, voted in a policy which would allow players who wished to not participate in the National Anthem ceremony could remain in the locker room until kickoff.

Eric Winston, the president of the NFLPA, responded directly to Trump on Twitter by saying, "Thanks for your thoughts, but we'll take it from here."
