LeBron James broke out the headband and a brand new colorway of the Nike LeBron 16s in last night's 114-110 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The special edition kicks, featuring a black Battleknit 2.0 upper, are inspired by the "I Promise" school in Akron, Ohio that LeBron opened up during the Summer. The "I Promise" LeBron 16s are highlights by multicolor accents underneath the black build, as well as on the sole, and "Just A Kid From Akron" text on the tongue. Additional details include iridescent Nike swooshes and text on the heels that read "WE ARE FAMILY" on the left and "The LeBron James Family Foundation" on the right.
LeBron posted a near triple-double while wearing the "I Promise" 16s, finishing with a team-high 24 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and two blocks. The kicks, priced at $185, are expected to launch on November 20.
