"What you did takes a lot of bravery."

Dua Lipa is currently traveling the world playing her music for fans in Asia for the last leg of her tour. Last night the "One Kiss" singer was performing in Shanghai, China, and was left "horrified" by the treatment of some of her fans. Videos on social media show fans being aggressively dragged out of the crowd for seemingly waving rainbow LGBTQ flags.

According to BBC, homosexuality isn't illegal in China but there seems to be a silent movement that wants to silence the community. Being as Dua was center stage, she had to witness the events first hand and released a statement on the matter.

"I will stand by you all for your love and beliefs and I am proud and grateful that you felt safe enough to show your pride at my show," she wrote. "What you did takes a lot of bravery. I always want my music to bring strength, hope and unity. I was horrified by what happened and I send love to all my fans involved. I would love to come back for my fans when the time is right and hopefully see a room full of rainbows."
