Power is the most watched show on premium cable after HBO's Game of Thrones. That's good company to be in, especially since Game of Thrones only has one more season to go. That means Ghost, Tommy, Kanan, and the rest of the Power crew may be sitting at the number one spot this time next year. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though. Season 5 of Power debuts in two weeks, and we couldn't be more excited.
Omari Hardwick and Lela Loren, or Ghost and Angela, respectively, sat down with This Is 50 to speak about the ups and downs of their relationship, and what fans can expect going into the new season. First, Loren opens up about her character having a real moment with Ghost's wife Tasha after her daughter is killed and her son goes missing. "In a really human moment, Angela has, like woman to woman, it's like this is bigger than our petty grievances. I have to show up as a human," states Loren. Hardwick briefly touches on how his character Ghost is like President Obama in the fact that he's a Black man with immense power that is surrounded by allies who he does not get along with. "I think Ghost would be President Obama," Hardwick reveals. Check out the short interview below, and tune in to Power when it returns to Starz on July 1.
