Emilia Clarke recently covered Vanity Fair in promotion for her latest film Solo: A Star Wars Story. The new Star Wars flick also stars Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo. Rogue One was the first spin-off Star Wars film, and it was both a commercial and critical success. Solo aims to follow in its footsteps. Although Clarke was promoting the new movie, it's almost impossible for her to avoid Game of Thrones questions.
Although there is still filming and technical work being done for the final season of Game of Thrones, Clarke has completed all of her scenes for the series. That means Daenerys Targaryen has completed her finals moments. “It fucked me up,” Clarke reveals, thinking about filming the last scene. “Knowing that is going to be a lasting flavor in someone’s mouth of what Daenerys is . . .”
“I’m doing all this weird shit,” Clarke continued. “You’ll know what I mean when you see it.” It will be about a year before we get to see anything other than a trailer. Last season, Game of Thrones was hit with a series of leaks that ruined main plot points for many fans. While on The Tonight Show, Clarke told host Jimmy Fallon that she believes the showrunners are filming faux scenes to keep spoilers from leaking. "I think that they are doing loads of stuff and they're not even telling us because they don't trust us and rightly so," she admitted.
