A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie kept the casting call for the much-anticipated "Look Back At It" a secret from his closest of kin. And while he does assume the romantic lead in the video, A Boogie declined the opportunity to go at it alone - choosing instead to create a parallel storyline starring Russell Horning, the strange looking teen who popularized the "Floss dance" in the assumed-character of "Backpack Kid."
In the "Look Back At It" music video, A Boogie paints himself favourably as the teen heartthrob whose cross-room glances are readily reciprocated by a Veronica type several rows over. Over in the parallel storyline, "Backpack Kid" as he prefers to be known, takes up the "Kevin McCallister" role of a child left alone for weeks-on-end. By the song's end, both universes converge into one, with "Backpack Kid" finally offering up his signature dance in one final act of defiance, whilst A Boogie looks on with Veronica right by his side, as they prepare for an "El Chapo" run with the fire latch pulled down.
