Young Thug celebrated his 27th birthday and the launch of Slime Language with a private party at Dave & Busters. Unfortunately, the celebrations were cut short as the rapper and his crew were arrested moments later on a gun charge. While the rapper was seemingly held in police custody overnight, the rapper revealed that he's been released.
Young Thug gave fans an update on his current legal situation on Instagram. The rapper posted a selfie on the social media platform with the caption, "Faster then the officers got off... #SlimeLanguage lil bitch." Thugger didn't share any more information pertaining to his arrest but we're sure that will come at some point today.
Thug and his crew were arrested shortly after the Slime Language release party. Police said that as Thug's crew was leaving the spot, one of them ran into a police cruiser which resulted in a vehicle search. Police said they discovered multiple weapons. Thug was arrested shortly after 3 a.m. and charged with carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle, which is a felony. He was being held on $35K bond.
Aside from the arrest, Thug just released his new project alongside Young Stoner Life Records, Slime Language. The project is a compilation record which features guest appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, Gunna, Lil Baby, Jacquees, Tracy T and many more.
