Last month Selena Gomez entered a mental facility after suffering what sources say was an emotional breakdown. Apparently, Selena had to be rushed to the hospital last month after her white blood cells were extremely low following her kidney transplant. She was then admitted to the hospital for the second time and after being denied when trying to go home, she freaked out and tried to rip IV's out of her arm forcing her psychiatric facility admission.
New reports from TMZ now say the singer has been released from the East Coast psychiatric and will be laying low for some time. Sources tell the publication that Selena was treated with dialectical behavior therapy that treats various mental health disorders.
"DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) has completely changed my life," Selena told Vogue last year when openly discussing mental health. "I wish more people would talk about therapy. We girls, we're taught to be almost too resilient, to be strong and sexy and cool and laid-back, the girl who's down. We also need to feel allowed to fall apart."
