Pusha T is getting ready to release his long awaited King Push Daytona album tonight at midnight, but before he does so the Virginia veteran decided to hold a private listening party in NYC Wednesday night. With most of the media in attendance, a handful of snippets & clips from the album have been surfacing online, and one in particular that’s been making the most noise is Pusha’s song “Infrared.” In it, Pusha appears to take a subliminal shot at Drake, while giving his alleged ghostwriter, Quentin Miller, a shoutout.
“It was written like Nas but it came from Quentin,” Push can be he heard rhyming on the track, sending shade to Drake in the process. Unfortunately we're not sure what he said leading up to the reference or after it, but he definitely was talking about Drake.
The slight diss shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to fans however. The two have gone back & forth with another over the past few years, with Drake finally addressing Pusha on his song “Two Birds One Stone,” which was a response to Pusha’s "H.G.T.V. Freestyle" song. Whether or not Drake responds to Pusha remains to be seen, but it definitely sounds like King Push ain't done.
Check out Pusha’s shot at Drake (below) and look to hear the full thing tomorrow night at midnight. Peep its tracklist right here in the meantime and listen to some other snippets from the album as well (below) to hold you over.
