The untimely death of XXXTentacion has shaken the hip-hop world to its core, and an outcry of tributes and support have come since the young rapper was officially pronounced dead. Chicago rapper Juice WRLD, who has worked with XXXTentacion in the past, was also affected by his death, as well as the deaths of other young artists taken before their time. In order to pay tribute to his lost friends, Juice took to Instagram Live to share a song he wrote, reacting to the loss of both XXXTentacion and Lil Peep.
The song finds Juice singing about how the deaths of these artists always come all of a sudden and much too soon. When Lil Peep died due to an accidental overdose of fentanyl-laced xanax back in December, the hip-hop world reacted in much the same way. Seeing the life of a young person, let alone a famous musician, cut short in their prime is always a tragic event.
Ski Mask The Slump God, an artist was extremely close to XXXTentacion and who found a new friend in Juice, makes appearances in the chat of the live stream, expressing his grief over X through emojis. As a dear friend of X's, he was more shocked than anybody about X's murder.
Both Juice and X share much of the same emotional quality in their music, and both of them share very inspired and productive methods of recording their songs.. Hopefully he drops the full song on its own, or as a part of his upcoming project. Listen to the preview down below.
