Previously dubbed the "Gucci" Air Jordan 4s for their red and green colorway, it turns out these two upcoming AJ4s are actually inspired by fictional pizza spot Sal's Famous Pizzeria from Spike Lee's "Do The Right Thing."
In celebration of the film's 30th anniversary, Jordan Brand will reportedly release both black and white colorways of the Sal's Famous Pizzeria Air Jordan 4s in 2019. Both of the kicks feature the same red and green color blocking as a nod to the Italian flag inspired pizza box.
Official images and release details have not yet been announced but "Do The Right Thing" debuted on June 30, 1989, so don't be surprised if Jordan Brand holds off until then to release the two special edition Air Jordan 4s.
