We just posted a round-up of the supportive and loving posts made by Offset about his wife Cardi B and today Offset has embarked on another Instagram tradition, by showing more love to his mother. The "Ric Flair Drip" rapper posted a photo of his mom and him on a red carpet that sees him giving her a big kiss of appreciation. "R A I S E DB Y A S T R O N G...B L A C K W O M A N," Kiari Kendrell Cephus captioned the photo.
Offset's latest solo single produced by Metro Boomin ("Red Room") hears the Migos rapper talk even more about his growing and his mom playing both roles in his life. “How I grew up, my mama was my dad,” he raps. “So when I blew up, I put her in a pad / I like to throw up when I think about the crash / When I hit the tree, I smelled the gas / Looking at the sky, thinking about my past.”
Offset recently opened up to The New York Times about his current state of life, detailing how crazy car crash taught him to slow down. “That’s the biggest lesson: Slow down. Take your time. Think through your moves," he said. He later opened up about Cardi B and how his partner in crime keeps him on his toes. “She brings excitement and pressure to me, but I like that. She’s No. 1, so every time I’m hitting the charts, I’ve got to be Top 10.”
“Oh, you’re with a stripper, you’re this, you’re that,” Offset said of first reactions to people commenting on their relationship. “But I’d seen her potential, her vision, her grind. Whatever she does, she’s going to master it. She’s like me.”
