As he attempts to break out of Joey Bada$$'s shadow, Pro Era's Powers Pleasant is readying his next project with the intention of widening his reach, enjoying the thrill of making music professionally. Now able to make a living off of his passion, Powers Pleasant is one of the founders of the Pro Era collective and while his name may be unfamiliar to some, he's about to make some major noise with his next project. Speaking exclusively with Hip Hop DX, the New York artist is prepared to release an EP with some of Pro Era's most loyal collaborators and members.
While the title of the project has not yet been revealed, it is set to include an all-star list of talent, which will undoubtedly bring further exposure to the blossoming star. With "Pull Up" expected to appear on the collection, Powers confirmed the inclusion of both Joey Bada$$ and A$AP Ferg on the upcoming work, noting that The Underachievers, Flatbush Zombies, IDK and Denzel Curry are also expected to perform on the EP. While the list appears to be complete, Powers says that he is undecided on any additional inclusions, saying, "I’m just going to keep it at that for now. We gonna see when it’s going to come out. I still haven’t decided yet but it might be something that’s been kinda reoccurring in my atmosphere."
With the opportunity to create a lasting first impression to many new fans, Powers Pleasant looks to be striving for the top with quality in mind, choosing an impressive guest list to come along with him for the ride.
