Travis Scott earned his first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 with the Drake-assisted single, "SICKO MODE." The track's been shooting up and down the top 10 on the Hot 100, peaking at number 2, but never actually reaching the top spot on the chart. The song dethroned Ariana Grande's single, "Thank U, Next" which has been holding the #1 spot on the chart since its release. However, Ariana, unlike her BFFL Nicki Minaj, isn't salty about Scott's chart position. In fact, she's pretty happy to see Travis land his first #1 single.
Travis Scott has both the number one album and single in America right now. Astroworld is currently at the top of the Billboard 200 while "SICKO MODE" finally reached #1 after peaking at #2. The single knocked off Ariana Grande's "Thank U, Next" for the top spot, but the singer isn't mad. She replied to Scott's tweet and congratulated him on his recent feat.
"So fucking dope. congratulations," she wrote on Twitter. Scott replied shortly after, writing, "U know it blood gang shit."
Ariana Grande jokingly shaded Scott this summer following Nicki Minaj's Queen Radio tirade aimed towards the rapper, his girlfriend and their daughter. During her Sweetener Sessions, her manager Scooter Braun suggested that her album would hit the top of the Billboard 200. She replied, "We've got three days left. You don't know what Travis could pull." She later clarified that she was simply joking.
