21 Savage is a big fan of Meek Mill's latest work.

21 Savage might have a new album releasing this week but for now, he's focused on Meek Mill's stellar work. So many of his peers are praising Meek after he dropped Championships, a work in which he sounds as though he's rapping with a purpose again. While Meek seems to always come through when he drops an album, his experiences in prison gave him the motivation to speak strongly about the criminal justice system, telling a series of compelling stories on his new album. People have tuned in as Championships is currently projected to sell up to 175K copies in its first week. 21 Savage decided to show some love to Philly's superstar, admitting that he shed a tear listening to the project.

Savage is expected to release a new body of work this month but he made sure to do his part in promoting Meek Mill's new album when it dropped. "Meek album brought tears to my eyes," wrote the Atlanta artist. Surely, he can relate to many of the tales Meek raps on the project. Both artists were raised by the streets and they've experienced similar injustice when it comes to their security and safety.

This Friday is set to see the release of 21 Savage's long-awaited new album, which follows up a few standout appearances on Metro Boomin's Not All Heroes Wear Capes. What did you think of Championships?
