Soccer legend Brandi Chastain was inducted into the Bay Area Hall of Fame on Monday, another honor for the two-time Olympic gold medalist and two-time World Cup champion.
However, the person on the plaque looks nothing like the United States Women's National Team hero. Even Chastain had to admit, "it's not the most flattering." Still, she graciously added, “But it’s nice.” The internet was not as accepting of the plaque, which seems to have overthrown Cristiano Ronaldo's bronze statue as the worst of all time.
Following the twitter roast of Chastain's plaque, Kevin O’Brien, President of the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame, decided that the plaque would be replaced. He tells the Mercury News, “We're going to redo it. We weren’t happy with the rendering. It was not a great job.
