It has just been announced that Dave Chappelle will share the stage with Lauryn Hill on her upcoming tour. In the past few years, Hill has disappointed fans by showing up hours late to performances, causing some to lose faith in the artist's ability to tour. Adding clout might lead the skeptics to give her another chance. De La Soul is also joining the Hollywood Bowl show with Chappelle in September. Other guests who will appear on particular dates include SZA, A$ap Rocky, Nas, Busta Rhymes, Big Boi and more. Tickets for The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 20th Anniversary Tour go on sale Friday, June 22nd.
The series of shows is meant to celebrate the RnB singer's iconic debut. The record is considered to be a classic, allowing Hill to tour for the past couple of decades without releasing any other full-length studio albums. Her work was introduced to a new generation, thanks to Drake's "Nice For What," in which he sampled her track "Ex-Factor." Hill was fond enough of Drakes single to perform her own interpretation.
Dave Chapelle is gearing up for a busy year. He is set to appear on Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee this summer and will entertain audiences with his own stand-up tour with Jon Stewart. Chappelle is also working with the pop musician, John Mayer.
