Josh Allen's exposed tweets may cause him to slide in the NFL Draft.

Josh Allen's twitter account has been scrubbed of several offensive tweets dating back to his high school days after they resurfaced on the eve of the NFL Draft. The tweets leaked out of nowhere and according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, two people have expressed a belief that an NFL team publicized the tweets in hopes that Allen would drop in the 2018 NFL draft and fall to them.

Pro Football Talk reports that some league insiders believe that the tweets will definitely play a role in where Allen is selected in tonight's draft. The tweets have since been deleted but according to Yahoo Sports, Allen used the n-word several times in a number of different tweets.

"i dont think you n*ggas want a troubled son!" -- June 14, 2012

“N*ggas Trying To Get At Me" -- February 12, 2013

"Bout to show up these N*ggas at pong" -- February 26, 2012

"If it ain't white, it ain't right" -- June 25, 2013

The former Wyoming quarterback spoke to ESPN's Stephen A. Smith about the old tweets late Wednesday night and apologized, saying he was "young and dumb."

"If I could go back in time, I would never have done this in a heartbeat," Allen told ESPN today. "I'm not the type of person I was at 14 and 15 that I tweeted so recklessly. ... I don't want that to be the impression of who I am, because that is not me. I apologize for what I did.

"It sucks. My family is hurting. We never envisioned a day or night like this."
