While Jim Jones has had his share of run-ins with the police, the rapper claims he was wrongfully searched earlier this week. The Dipset emcee was waiting to pick up a friend at Newark Airport, when he was pulled over by four squad cars.
An officer approached Jim's vehicle, claiming that he smelled marijuana coming from the rapper's car. Jones was ordered to step out of the vehicle, and put his hands on the trunk, while both him and his car were searched for drugs.
TMZ reports that the cops found no trace of narcotics, but did hit Jim with a citation for driving without a license. Jim's rep explained that the rapper is very upset with his treatment, adding that "He was searched for nothing more than racial profiling."
A representative for the NY/NJ Port Authority says they were not aware of the event, and are now looking into it.
