Kevin Hart is at the top of his game right now. He's one of the most popular comedians in the world and regardless of whether you find him funny, he's raking in boatloads of cash. Seriously, he's in, like, every movie. He certainly has his fair share of naysayers though with Mike Epps being vocal about Kevin's brand of comedy in the past. His comments have been misconstrued as hate towards Hart and while he maintains that their disagreements are not worthy of being labeled a "beef," they have gone back and forth for years and sometimes, it's gotten ugly. Just a few months ago, Kev called Epps a "sad individual." Their differences were explained as Mike reached The Breakfast Club to chop it up with Charlamagne tha God and his crew.
The comedian touched on his situation with Hart, saying, "I think that some of us, when we get success we turn into the police. When you have a platform, where you can speak on things, everybody loves a winner. That’s the thing about when you’re winning, you don’t know who is really on your side, they just riding for you. And if you have a platform over everybody else, it’s easy for you to make things the way you want them to look." Definitely a lot to take in from those comments.
He elaborated that Hart shouldn't be upset about his opinion, saying, "Just because you’re the CEO of something or if you have more than the next person, that doesn’t mean that a person can’t have an opinion about you. Everybody is not going to like you, and you can’t be upset with everybody for not liking you."
Mike Epps also spoke on Bill Cosby in the full interview, which you can watch below.
