Former Bad Boy Entertainment rapper Craig Mack has denounced Hip Hop and "wickedness" in an unearthed video from last May 2012.
"My name is Craig Mack," the "Flavor In Ya Ear" the former emcee says in the video clip. When asked what he used to do, Mack replies, "wickedness and Rap." When asked what he is doing now, he replies, "righteousness."
The uncovered footage of Mack features Pastor Ralph Gordon Stair, a controversial 'end of the world' preacher. Stair is the leader of the Overcomer Ministry Community, and has had legal troubles over the years.
Stair supposedly made "an involuntary and partial disclosure regarding sexual battery against several young adult women who were 'Stair believers,'" according to a State Law Enforcement Division case file in the report. The preacher has reportedly served 77 days in jail for charges of assault and battery. Stair also had to address the allegations of adultery in the same report. "I'll tell you what happened," Stair claims in a previous interview, "I committed adultery with two women here and I went to the people and apologized."
Stair's group of followers apparently live in a secluded environment near Walterboro, South Carolina, where members grow their own food and make their own clothes. Mack is believed to be living there now.
Back in 1994, Mack's single "Flavor In Ya Ear" went platinum. The track's remix included verses from The Notorious B.I.G., Busta Rhymes, Rampage and LL Cool J. The follow-up track from his Project: Funk Da World album, "Get Down," went gold. Mack's second LP, Operation: Get Down, did not match the commercial success of its predecessor.
