If you watch 105.1's The Breakfast Club regularly, you'll notice how often DJ Envy brings up his family. He doesn't do it arrogantly, or in an obnoxious manner. Envy always has some kind of family occurrence or story that he uses to relate to the topic being discussed, and it usually works. Now, Mr. Family Man is getting his own series on Bravo.
As reported by Variety, Envy and wife Gia will star in a new docu-comedy series called Gold With Envy. The description of the show states that the, "series follows mega-radio personality DJ Envy, host of the hit syndicated radio show “The Breakfast Club,” and his gorgeous wife Gia as they attempt to balance their chaotic lives. With a crazy crew of staff, friends, extended family and the daily demands of raising five (and counting) opinionated kids, the couple works to keep up the street-cred that has made them a household name." For some reason that "and counting" line sounds like something Charlamagne tha God threw in there.
Envy's friends and peers reacted to the news with nothing but respect and admiration. "The First Family of hiphop is going on Tv. We lit," wrote 50 Cent in an Instagram post. Charlamagne also hopped on the 'Gram to congratulate his co-worker and friend. "Ok @djenvy and @gia_casey cooking. Good pick up @bravotv," he wrote.
