Back in October, Lauren Jauregui dropped off her first solo track since splitting from girl group Fifth Harmony titled "Expectations." Today she's followed up on the beat with something even better titled "More Than That" produced by none other than Murda Beatz.
The cover art sees her lounging in a field full of flowers, which ties into the theme based on Aphrodite - the Greek goddess of love and beauty. Lauren told her fans on Instagram that the goddess has been her form of inspiration. "She’s very sensual. She’s about love. She’s about the connection with pleasure and self […] and that was really important to me." she added.
Lauren previously chatted with Rolling Stone about her upcoming debut album and explained how she's taking the proper time she needs.
“It’s just a matter of creating each little world right now, and making sure that each one has the thought and nurturing put into it that it needs,” she said. “I don’t want to put out commercial-ass quick shit. When people see or hear my stuff, I want them to resonate to some degree. Hate it or love it, I want them to feel something.”
Quotable Lyrics
If my man know, there's gon' be some issues
But take my number down, I just might hit you
No, I'm just playing, I'm so deep in love
But the way you talkin' might just have me actin' up
