Fabolous spoke with HNHH about artists who have inspired him, as well as new school rappers he respects.

Fabolous is getting ready to drop Loso's Way 2, and just took part in a tour with Pusha T, who is also gearing up to drop a big summer album. HNHH caught up with Fab on his tour, and asked him about the rappers that inspired him as a lyricist, as well as the up-and-coming artists he's been following.

"I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little bit late sometimes on new kids" Fab admitted when asked about hip hop's "new school". "I gotta get into the person's style" he revealed, explaining that he wouldn't co-sign an artist off of one track.

"The newest I've been listening to is like Kendrick and Drake. A$AP's pretty dope too, you know Meek Mill." he said, also acknowledging emerging artists, "of course there are guys just coming in as well, even down to French [Montana]."

Loso expressed interest in some of the more hyped artists from his hometown of New York. "Guys from my city like Troy Ave, Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$," but stressed that he'd like to hear more from them before he makes up his mind. "I'm still picking through it figuring them out a little bit."

The Soul Tape rapper also got into some of the early artists that inspired him to rap, which he revealed to be some of the pioneers of the genre. "I think one of my first inspirations of course was Run DMC," adding that he was also a fan of "that whole camp that was with Kane, Masta Ace, Craig G."

Fab revealed that his tendency toward multisyllabic rhymes was lifted from Big Daddy Kane. "Kane's multi-syllable things was one of the things that stuck with me" he said. "Even to this day it's one of my favorites that challenges me in rhyming."
