When it comes to GoldLink's infectious flow and addictive storytelling through his music, 2018 didn't give us too much except a few features here and there. Of course, it's appreciated but there's nothing like a solo GodLink track where he can go off and give us what we deserve. The latest single from the Washington, DC native is "Justine's Interlude" that's about his good friends, such as Justine Skye and the fallen Mac Miller.
The song was debuted on A COLORS SHOW and having a visual for the track for the first listen, makes the song that much better. GoldLink, born D'Anthony Carlos, touches on the alleged domestic abuse Justin had to endure in her past relationship with lines that rap: "I'm tired of hearin' 'bout if this nigga put hands on you."
All in all the new song is a great way for GoldLink to begin the new year and we can't wait to hear more. Listen and let us know what you think.
Quotable Lyrics
Mac died and I couldn't talk, couldn't bear the thought
Two days before it, we was talkin' 'bout love and loss
Then he mentioned Ariana mama and newer songs
Never told a soul, but I knew he was dead all along
