All of Mac Miller's hard work of crafting his sound and music over the years has paid off impeccably. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the late artist left behind a fortune worth $9 million. Mac, born Malcolm McCormick, made waves with his debut album Blue Slide Park since it became the first independently-distributed debut tape to grab the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 since Tha Dogg Pound's 1995 released Dogg Food.
Rostrum Records, the label Mac was with at the time, had a deal with iTunes where the streaming platform only got 25% of the album's earning and they got to split the rest. His last label sign was with Warner Bros. for a reported $10 million that gave us five studio albums, including his last piece, Swimming. All the Warner Bros. repped albums debuted at #5 which led to Mac's annual spot on Forbes' list of Hip-Hop Cash Kings.
Mac sadly passed away on September 7th in his Studio City home. The exact cause of death has yet to be released. A vigil is being held today in his hometown of Pittsburgh at the city’s Blue Slide Park.
