Ralph breaks the box office.

Disney’s Ralph Breaks the Internet set is currently at No. 1 at the domestic box office as we head into the post-Thanksgiving phase, earning $5.7 million on Friday from 4,017 theaters, earning a weekend gross of $24 million to $25 million.

Usually, the weekend that follows on the heels of the holiday in the States is quiet, offering few new releases and this year the trend continues as crowds are left to pick at the leftovers with the only new title being Screen Gems’ Possession of Hannah Grace which earned $2.6 million on Friday at 2,065 locations, going No. 7 with a debut of $6.3 million.

Following Ralph at No. 2 will turn out to be a battle between Creed II and The Grinch until official figures come in at the end of the weekend. Currently, both flicks are eyeing somewhere between $16 million and $17 million for this weekend outing.

On Friday, Creed II earned $4.9 million across 3,567 theaters while the Grinch earned $3.9 million across 3,984 theaters, set to reach the $200 million benchmark some time on Sunday.

In the top five, expect to see Warner Bros.’s Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald and New Regency’s Bohemian Rhapsody closing things out with each project set to earn an estimated $11 million and $8 million to $9 million, respectively.
