Have you already gone out to vote? If not, it's time to make your way to your polling station so your voice can be heard. For weeks, everybody have been urging young people to register so that they can vote today. Now that the day has officially arrived for mid-term elections, you need to do your part and exercise your democratic right. We need to be the change that we want in the world and it all starts today.
There are no excuses. If you're the type of person who doesn't vote because it's not "a cool thing to do," it's officially cool now, thanks to many of your favorite rappers. Travis Scott, Wale, Meek Mill, and Rihanna are among those insisting American citizens take action. In the past, young people have been criticized for their lack of participation in elections but that trend thankfully seems to be fading away. Chance the Rapper and T.I. in particular have been at the forefront of changing youth mentality, by becoming increasingly involved in, and vocal about, politics.
If you're not convinced, listen to Jay Rock's remix of "WIN" and it may do the trick.
