Every year, game publisher Activision releases a new entry in their Call of Duty series. The last COD was based around World War 2, but fans didn't seem as interested in the historical drama as usual. Maybe, the game market has been saturated by countless other World War inspired games such as Battlefront. That's why it was a smart move to return to one of their most loved franchises, Black Ops. Activision has been releasing COD games for fifteen years, so the publisher understands its fan base. Every COD player has found themselves entrenched in a Black Ops game at some point, and Boston Celtics star Gordan Hayward is one of those gamers.
According to UPROXX, Hayward has teamed up with Call of Duty to give players a chance to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 next month. At E3 this past week, Activision announced a partnership with Comcast. From now until mid-July, gamers can head to Xfinity stores in Washington, Boston, Philadelphia, Houston, Seattle, Chicago, Indianapolis and Atlanta to register in a sweepstake to play Backs Ops 4 early. Gordon Hayward will be attending the event in Boston to play with the winners in his city. "I’m excited to team up with Xfinity to bring early access of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to fans,” Hayward said in a statement. “I can’t wait to join my fellow gamers in Boston.”
The Beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be released to the general public in August, and the game drops on October 12.
