Los Blancos will earn roughly $125M per year as part of new Adidas deal.

Real Madrid is reportedly set to sign a groundbreaking deal worth at least €1.1 billion over 10 years, which works out to approximately $125 million per year. To put this all in perspective, Nike paid under $1 billion to outfit the entire NBA for the next eight seasons.

According to Marca's Carlos Carpio, Adidas has reportedly agreed to pay Real Madrid €110 million each year, which is more than twice the €52 million paid annually under their current deal. Additionally, Adidas could potentially pay Los Blancos up to €150 million per year because of "another variable part depending on merchandising."

Per Marca's Carlos Carpio:

"In this 140 page contract that includes everything and even relegation (in which case they would bring in 65m euros), they mark out the variables depending on titles. Winning the league meant a bonus of 2.5m euros from 2015 to 2019 and will go up to 3.5m euros from 2020 to 2024. Lifting the Champions League would see an extra 5m euros until 2019 and goes up to 7m euros from 2020."

Real Madrid has been with Adidas since 1998, and brands like Under Armour and Nike have attempted to lure them away but the Three Stripes have proven their willing to do whatever it takes to keep the partnership going. Once the new deal is completed, Marca reports that Real Madrid will takeover as the club with the biggest sponsorship deal in the sport.
