Way back in 2015, news surfaced that Chance The Rapper would be starring in a horror film called Slice, thanks to director Austin Vesely who spilled the news to Chicago’s local publication Redeye, and now three years later the film was finally released to iTunes and all digital platforms.
Starring Chance the Rapper, Zazie Beetz, Paul Scheer, Rae Gray, Hannibal Buress, and Joe Keery, the film revolves around pizza delivery boys who are killed while on the job, and the search to find out who committed the murders. Nathan Matthew David and Ludwig Göransson handle the music score.
“[Chance] is actually a werewolf who is a former Chinese food delivery driver,” the film’s director Austin Vesely said in an interview. “Basically, these murders start happening and they hearken back to an incident that happened with him years before, and they arouse the town’s suspicions.”
On Monday night, Chance participated on a Twitter Q&A about the film, which you can watch right here if interested.
Fans can watch Slice right here and/or peep the new trailer (below). Look for Chano’s upcoming album executive produced by Kanye West to be on the way.
