LeBron James did it again y’all. With no time left on the clock, the King hit a game-winning buzzer beater to beat the Indiana Pacers in a critical game 5. After blocking Pacers All-star Victor Oladipo with only seconds to go in the game, the Cavs would get the ball with 3 seconds left. Inbounding from half court, Lebron was able to receive the ball and hit a fade-away game-winning 3-pointer over the outstretched arms of Thaddeus Young.
“Just give me the ball,” James said in the huddle before the last play. “Give me the ball. They had a foul to give, so I wanted to go quick so they couldn’t give up that foul, because we had no more timeouts. So I was able to turn and get to my spot.”
“It was like deja vu for a regular-season game we had versus Minnesota, where I got a block on the other end and then the game-winner,” James said.
It was a brilliant end to another brilliant evening for James, who ended the game with almost a triple double with 44 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Now up 3-2 in the series, the Cavs look to close things out on Friday when they travel back to Indiana for game 6.
