Kanye West season is here and people are polarized about it. The rapper made his triumphant return to Twitter last week which resulted in the announcement of several projects including his eighth studio album and his Kid Cudi collaboration, Kids See Ghost which are both due out one week from each other in June. However, in the midst of all of this, he's voiced his support for Trump and other known Republicans. Many people from the hip hop community have been critical of his political alignment but one person who's come to his defense is none other than Chance The Rapper.
Chance The Rapper, who's previously said he has a "bigger voice than Donald Trump," has come to Kanye West defense amid his pro-Trump tweets. Hot 97's Ebro tweeted, "I wonder if @kanyewest has caught up with @chancetherapper @gherbo @lildurk on his hometown of Chicago??" Chance revealed that he recently spoke to 'Ye in the past few days and that he's in a great space, both mentally and physically, and that it's the same Kanye we've all grown to love.
"Talked to him two days ago. He’s in a great space and not affected by folk tryna question his mental or physical health. Same Ye from the Vmas, same Ye from the telethon." He tweeted before adding, "Black people don’t have to be democrats."
Chance and Kanye have worked together on numerous occasions including both of their most recent albums. Kanye added vocals to Chance's intro track on Coloring Book while Chance delivered a stand-out verse on Kanye West's The Life Of Pablo.
