Cardi B's long-awaited video for "Bartier Cardi" will air on VH1 Monday, The Bronx rapper announced today. Cardi also shared what looks to be a screencap from the upcoming music video, which shows the rapper in an extravagant red dress with fur trim and long dangling gold earrings.
The video will precede Cardi's debut album Invasion Of Privacy, which sees release on Friday, April 6th. On Friday, Cardi released the third single from the album "Be Careful." The song was a departure from the confrontational style of the the rapper's first two singles, instead opting for a more restrained, personal verses and a sung hook. "I know it's something ya'll not expecting to come from me, but you know, I like different types of shit," she said of the track. "That's one of my records that speaks the most to me."
Cardi recently signed a management deal with Quality Control, the Coach K and Pee-founded label that currently houses Migos and Lil Yachty. "Bartier Cardi" peaked at No. 14 on the Hot 100 and has since fallen to 38. It will very likely see a spike in sales and streams following the release of the video. Cardi's collaboration with Bruno Mars, "Finesse (Remix)" is currently a No. 4, while "MotorSport, "No Limit," and "La Modelo," on which she is a featured artist also appear on the chart.
