Noname has graciously informed us when we can expect the release of her highly anticipated project Room 25. The Chicago native took to her twitter to post the album's artwork with a succinct and powerful caption: "ROOM 25 - SEPT 14."
Fans have been kept in suspense since July 2017 when it was first announced that she was working on a follow up to her critically acclaimed debut project Telefone. The artist did not specify when exactly the project would be released simply revealing that she would not be releasing new music "in a long time," and it looks like the wait is finally over.
Noname's last project featured artists like Ravyn Lenae, Chance The Rapper, Smino, Saba, and Raury, and was rich and storied in its nature. Listeners were allowed a glimpse into the artists joys and sorrows as she detailed a life that had held moments of both great devastation and happiness. The project was poignant and melancholic, and the lyrics deeply poetic in their nature; addressing various issues including the black female plight. Born and bred in Chicago, Noname could not neglect to explore her experiences growing up in the city adding to the already compelling narratives within the project.
We are definitely looking forward to the artistry she will bring to this next project, are you?
